FREE SHOW at Fitzgerald’s Sidebar

Push Puppets bring their dual-vocal attack to Fitzgerald’s Sidebar for a FREE SHOW! Their critically acclaimed 2025 release “Tethered Together” has drawn comparisons to Squeeze, Nick Lowe, XTC and Ben Folds in both the quirky writing and the gloriously polished production.

Push Puppets consists of Erich Specht (lead vocals, guitar), Steve Frisbie (backup vocals, guitar), Kyle Magnusson (keyboards), John William Lauler (bass) and Greg Essig (drums).

On their fourth album – “Tethered Together”, Erich muses on relationships and loss as well as the weight and joy of life in a manner effortlessly poetic and married to the track like puzzle pieces. Wearing his vulnerabilities like a badge of honor, this music takes us on a journey to unexpected places.

Push Puppets videos on YouTube in support of the album have drawn the band thousands of subscribers and hundreds of thousands of video views. Two of their videos are currently under consideration for the Berlin Video Music Awards.

Push Puppets continue to churn out pop/rock would-be classics as they work on the fifth Push Puppets album which will be released in 2027.
